What kind of mineral do you think this is?
This is amazonite! It is a blue-green mineral with a hardness on the Mohs scale between 6 and 6.5, just softer than quartz. Unlike other bluish minerals, the hue of amazonite does not come from copper, but from lead and possibly iron.
Where does it come from? What uses does it have?
Amazonite is found around the world, including deposits in China, Libya, Mongolia, South Africa, and the United States. It has been used since ancient times for beads and other jewelry, although oddly enough it was not identified as its own separate mineral until the 1700s.
