These dolls were made in Brazil, the largest country in South America and the fifth largest country in the world. Brazil is home to a wide variety of cultures, from its indigenous populations to the many immigrant cultures from around the world. Doll making is a popular hobby in Brazil, and they are often given as gifts on special occasions.

They were made out of cloth and other fabric, and mounted onto wire framing. The wire frame provides structure and stability to the doll, allowing it to be posed or positioned in various ways. The cloth is then wrapped around the wire frame and sewn together to create the body, arms, and legs of the doll. The head and facial features are often made separately and then attached to the body. They were made in the early 1990s, and donated to Karshner Center in 1994.
