Answers:

Where do you think this drum came from?

This drum came from Kenya, a country in East Africa! As in many places around the world, drums have been of vital importance in the music and dance of cultures around Africa for millennia.

What is it made of? When do you think it was made?

This drum is made from cow-hide, which you can see from the different colors on the drum's face. The face was made by stretching cow-hide, and the strapping was made from worked leather. It was made some time in the 1970s and donated to the Karshner Center in 1985.
