From the KCTS 9 website: 'Puyallup School District’s Karshner Museum and Center for Culture & Arts is one of seven recipients in 2019 and is recognized for its a rich collection of Pacific NW Native and International artifacts. In addition, their programs for elementary school students provide learning opportunities through hands-on activities and the arts show a unique opportunity for students. It’s a jewel that shines more brightly now! The video will be aired during programming starting on September 30, 2019 for a month. The KCTS 9 Golden Apple Awards are made possible through funding from PEMCO Insurance and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.'

Along the way see a theatrical show, listen to an outstanding trio of musicians, explore art by over 40 artists from Tacoma to New York. The evening events are free to the public

Renovated Karshner Center in Puyallup is still a museum for students - and more.
From the sidewalk on Fourth Street Northeast in Puyallup, the brick building formerly known as the Paul H. Karshner Museum looks the same as it did before it closed for much of the last two years. But on the inside, the newly renovated Karshner Museum and Center for Culture & Arts boasts a shiny interior with a fresh focus on arts and cultural education.
